"Project Zero: Closing the Wealth Gap in America"

Project Zero: Closing the Wealth Gap in America”

A Wealth Builder Program

Project Zero is a program designed to decrease the economic disparities in our community through wealth building, thus, closing the wealth gap.  There are several hurdles that specifically target our community that we must overcome such as unfair lending practices through redlining, higher interest rates for automobile loans, and predatory interest rates on credit cards.   These disparities create a situation where borrowing in itself becomes a ball and chain that in most cases takes the average household 20 or more years to overcome.

What the wealth builder program will do is educate its participants through a financial literacy seminar.  This seminar will convene via Zoom conferencing on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 7 pm EST.  Topics to be covered will include:

  • How to pay off a mortgage in ten years or less
  • The pros and cons of leasing versus purchasing an automobile
  • How to utilize credit cards to build your credit score
  • How to create a recurring income stream
